so word on the street is.....the US open has done away with slopestyle for 2009.

according to the super reliable website newschoolers.com, halfpipe will be the only event in the open. if true, this is sad. real sad. first no NAO and now no US open. there's still Aspen and Nippon but let's be realistic. the Aspen open has had whack judging in the past and as far as the Nippon open goes, only kids who are already sponsored are going to have enough money to make it over to Japan.

TOO MUCH (snow/rain/wind)

i've been in oregon for almost 10 days and i've only skied once. this is shit.

since the skiing has been impossible, i've been watching some movies that i got for christmas. watched Gonzo the other day.

ok, so it's 2:50pm on Christmas eve and here's the deal...

it's DUMPING snow, so much in fact that we can't even make it up to Bachelor to go skiing, which is frustrating to say the least.

but more importantly, about an hour ago, a fuse blew upstairs. bfd right? wrong. this is the fuse that supplies power to our cable, internet, phone and the fridge and freezer in the garage. oh yes, the heat pump as well. so here we have a Christmas feast melting away and no heat in the house while no one can figure out how to fix the fuse.

mad bummies...

to add to the mayhem, Albertson's has shoddy wine carriers and the proof is all over the pantry floor.

everything is ok now tho! electrician fixed the fuse that in fact blew up and had to be replaced, mom's napping, dad and bro are last-minute Christmas shopping and it still won't stop snowing.

MONDAY. ugh.

i did get 2 of my papers turned in, however, which is excellent news. i started both of them yesterday and turned them in on time this morning. quantity over quality? i think so, sadly.

whatevewwww. it snowed today. i didn't think that it actually would and i was proven very wrong.

i did some nice things today and i'm hoping for some good karma. unless hoping for good karma actually creates bad karma, in which case....who needs it?

at the moment, i'm listening to some atmosphere, wait, no...beatles.

making a portfolio for my photojournalism class tomorrow. pretty fun but i'm sure i'm doing it wrong. again, whatevs.

i'm just drilling holes at this point. two weeks left, fuck it.

i'm pretty pumped for the semester to be over. not just so that i don't have to go to class anymore or spend countless hours reading and doing homework. i'm kidding, i don't do any of that. but seriously. there are so many books i want to read and a lot of ideas that i want to put down on paper so hopefully i'll soon have time for that.
