really?

it's upsetting to me that people with such a lack of respect for human rights, people who are so self-righteous and have SUCH a narrow view of the world even have the right to vote for legislation like proposition 8. shame on anyone who voted yes on prop 8. it's an embarrassment and slap in the face to people who have any compassion for those with different beliefs or orientations than their own.

i couldn't agree more with what olbermann says in this video. this isn't about being gay or straight. i don't care what your religion is. this about respecting PEOPLE and the right of each and every one of them to the pursuit of happiness. equal rights folks...it's not a new concept.

who are we to think we even have to right to make these decisions? shouldn't it be a given that everyone has the same rights? i don't understand people. and if people say it's religion that makes these choices for them, then i don't understand god, or whoever anyone's praying to.

Word, I voted absentee in CA, and I couldn't believe that that was even on there. SO mad it passed. I can't even believe it.
